Cardiem ("we", "us", "our") operates the Cardiem mobile application and website at cardiem.app. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Location data: When you grant permission, we use your device's location to show nearby game shops, card inventory, and events. Your precise location is used only for search queries and is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties. You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings.
Search queries: We process the card names and search terms you enter to return inventory results. Search queries are not associated with any personal identifier.
Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (page views, feature usage, general geographic region). This data is anonymized and does not identify individual users. No advertising identifiers are collected.
We do NOT collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, contacts, photos, or any other personal data unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., contacting us for support).
Location and search data are used solely to provide search results — finding cards at nearby shops and displaying local events. We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
TCGPlayer: When you click affiliate links to purchase cards, you are directed to TCGPlayer.com, which is governed by their own privacy policy. We receive aggregate sales data (not individual purchase details) through their affiliate program.
Map tiles: Map functionality is provided by OpenStreetMap, which may log standard web request data per their privacy policy.
Google Analytics: Anonymized usage analytics are processed by Google per their data processing terms.
Card inventory and shop data are stored in our database (hosted on AWS). No personal user data is stored in our database. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption.
Cardiem does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or the submission of any personal data to function.
Since we do not collect personal data or require accounts, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. You can clear your local app data at any time through your device settings. You can revoke location permissions at any time.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
